Pleasantview Home Improvement is located 5 miles west of Hutchinson, KS on Hwy 50. We are in the heart of Pleasantview Country Shopping. Our Beginning in 1956
The NEW Facility in 1968
Management was convinced that this building was going to provide enough space for a while, however more office and production space were soon needed. In 1985 a remodeling project was completed to accommodate our needs. The current office building underwent major renovation and expansion in 1996. The business, now owned by Norman Yutzy, Vern Wickey, & Ken Yutzy was purchased from Raymond Yutzy in 1996, continues to grow with our retail, installation, and repair departments. In the beginning stages the business sold mostly Humphrey windows, doors, and awnings thus deriving it's name as Humphrey's, Reno Fabricating & Sales Company Inc. As more quality products became available, the business decided to add vinyl windows, steel and fiberglass entry doors, wrought iron railings, central vacuum systems, porch & patio enclosures, patio roofs, carports & insulation to the list of products sold, thus creating a need to change the name of our retail business to Pleasantview Home Improvement. We welcome you to come visit us and our showroom where many of our products are on display. Our goal is to serve our customers with quality products and service for many years. The
business was started in 1956 by making Humphrey Storm Windows and Storm Doors in a vacant chicken house. Having
Humphrey products that were superior in quality and durability coupled with
excellent customer service & installation soon created a need for more space.
A new building, 50' x 103', was constructed
in 1968 at 6401 W. Morgan, which is the current location.
